                                         I Scream Van

The smallest mobile cinema in the world. This converted ice cream van has the beautiful decor of a traditional cinema. An usher will show you to your gold braided seats and the lights dim. Sit back and enjoy a mock horror movie from amongst others the genius that is Forkbeard Fantasy. Ice creams are available from our staff as are I Screams as the van itself delivers a fine array of surprise and shocks.

For those who dream of Knickerbocker Gories, Shock Ices and Screamy Treats this performance is a big hit at festivals, events, celebrations and fetes. The van can also host a DJ set, PA and become part of the Village Fete, Green Top and Street Jam events.

The Little Green Top can also have; games , alternative races, an I Scream Van that has either music, treats, a DJ set, or the worlds smallest mobile cinema. As seen at The National Theatre London. Manchester Xtrax, Salisbury International Arts Festival, Victoria Park Bridgwater, Hamilton Park, Taunton and as part of the Urban Street Jam events.

The Little Green Top Circus has been successful as a fund raising project for schools and rural villages and touring schemes. Past projects have raised between £500 - £2500 per event to support village halls and community events. This themed event works well as a community collaborative project that may  link with school projects, community celebrations, festivals, fayres and village fetes. We have worked with school or community groups developing a themed performance that can premier at the local events.

The Little Green Top is part of the Village fete performance and creates a colorful arena for activities, performances and events.

Village Fete

The company bring gazebo’s, games, stalls, tanoy, stage area, games and invite members of the community to join us as stall holders, performers and participants. Most of all we would like you to help us build a playful event that mirrors and celebrates the life of the village community and be part of the event. This can be part of or enhance an existing event or within a festival or street arts celebration.  Funds raised by the fete can be donated to the village, community or a charity for example Water Aid.  This is a comedy performance event lasting an afternoon and using an ice cream van, bunting, tents and stalls that have bric a brac, tombola's, stalls, games, music and an array of performances. There is also a small arena for alternative races, shows and displays. There will be a raffle, a children's entertainer and a fortune teller. Not everything is at it seems. For example, inside the ice cream van is a small mobile powered cinema. There is also the opportunity to join in circus and creative workshops.  See the film link and photo gallery for more images.

How we make the Village Fete

The company bring along, tents, stalls, chairs, performances and together with the local community design, build and create the event.

One of the aims of the event is to help partners generate funds for their local community. We invite members to join us in the preparations of the Village fete. Before the event members of the company run sessions developing arts activities and performance workshops within the local community and in schools. Through the workshops, the company build a core group of helpers and performers who contribute to the running of the day.  The fete often works to a theme that has a wider context –the environment, the river, circus etc

Misguided Tour

(In association with fishproductions)

Knowledge in the age of misinformation is hard to come by. Let these tour guides lead you around your festival, events showing you sites of special interests and places of cultural importance. They will amuse you with their irrelevant insights and entertain you with their opinions on everything but the hard facts.

The company will research the site in advance, looking for those places and ideas that sit between truth and fiction, between the serious and the ludricous.

For promotions and events we can also provide face painters, balloon modelers, story tellers, musicians, DJ’s, dancers, stilt walkers and walkabout entertainers.

The Little Green Top

We arrive and set up the bunting tent and offer skills that can involve; mask making, recycled junk modelling, bunting, flags, music, juggling, stilt walking, hoopla, poi, diabolo, devil sticks, plate spinning, unicycling, tightwire, ribbons and fun. Performances and parades have been created at events. Popular at festivals and celebratory events.
